ESC has been endeavouring to bring micro, small and medium sized IT units to the forefront and opening doors for them to enter international markets. Champion Services Sector Scheme is focused on growth of identified sectors, enhancement of exports and consequential increase in jobs. Keeping that in view, selection criteria for the Programme revolves around growth orientation and capacity of participating units to serve complex requirements of mature yet evolving markets.
While final selection of participating units is based on evaluation of their profiles and personal interaction with Jury members, broad eligibility criteria include the following:
- The applicant enterprise should have been in existence for at least three years
- Export turnover of the applicant enterprise should be less than INR 10 crores during the Financial Year immediately prior to the year of application
- Preference will be given to enterprises engaged in Software Product Development and to those working on new and emerging technologies like Big Data Analytics, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence , Embedded Technology, IOT, Robotic Process Automation etc.
- The applicant enterprise should not have participated in the scheme earlier.
- All companies will be allowed to be a part of the Programme for a maximum of one year.
- An enterprise can apply for representation in one country only i.e. US or UK.
- Every applicant enterprise should avail ESC membership before being selected for any of the Centres
